Professor Tomoe/Germatoid
Professor Tomoe was the principal of Mugen Gauken and a prospering scientist. One day when he was showing his research to some people and his daughter, Hotaru, his experiment exploded, killing everyone but him. He made a deal with Pharaoh 90 to bring his daughter back to life. He traded his soul for the life of his daughter. Professor Tomoe became the head of the Death Busters. The being that took over his body was Germatoid. Germatoid left Tomoe's body when Sailor Neptune and Uranus appeared to defeat him. Germatoid was defeated by the appearance of Sailor Pluto who saved the other senshi. Tomoe's mission was to find the Pure Heart crystals which would bring the Messiah of Silence. Another mission of his was to find the three pure heart talismans. The three pure heart talismans would combine to create the Sacred Cup. The Sacred Cup would then bring Pharaoh 90's Tau system to Earth so they could bring the great silence and destruction. In Professor Tomoe's last battle as a henchman for Pharaoh 90, he used all the power remaining in the Daimon Pod inside of him. He became good again.
Kaolinite/Kaori Night
Kaolinite was Professor Tomoe's assistant. She was the first person to attack the senshi with daimons and first to look for the talisman crystals. Kaolinite very clearly showed her feelings for Professor Tomoe and was jealous everytime one of the Witches 5 were around. When she tried to take Usagi's pure heart, the sailor senshi used Sailor Planet attack on her and she is supposedly killed. Later on, when they thought she was dead, they were startled when they saw her as Professor Tomoe's secretary. It was really Kaolinite but she had no memory of what had happened before and she served as the professor's housekeeper and secretary, Kaori. After Mimete's numerous failures, Professor Tomoe gave Kaolinite back her powers and her memory. She also got a new uniform and was tormented by the rest of the Witches 5. When Kaolinite took Chibi-Usa for her pure heart, Mistress Nine arrived. Mistress Nine killed Kaolinite, believing she had outlived her usefulness.
Mistress Nine
She was the entity that took over Hotaru's body. Her one purpose for existing was to gather enough energy to summon Pharoah 90. She has long black hair down to the ground, a long skirt with a tight bodice on her top. She wore beads around her shoulders and on her ears. Chibi-Usa arrived just after Mistress Nine took Hotaru's body. Mistress Nine took Chibi-Usa's Silver Crystal and left her to die. Hotaru's spirit fought with Mistress Nine so she could not use the full power of the Silver Crystal and she could not get rid of Hotaru's hold over her. Hotaru finally let go and restored Chibi-Usa's Silver Crystal. Mistress Nine morphed into a monster and opened the gateway for Pharoah 90. Mistress Nine was immensely powerful and none of the senshi could hurt her. Sailor Saturn was born and she attacked Mistress Nine with her glaive. She forced Mistress Nine to be trapped over the sky with her master and Saturn sent them back through their gateway. Sailor Saturn went with them and Sailor Pluto closed the doorway, holding them forever inside.
Witches 5/Deathbusters
The Witches 5 were Eudial, Mimete, Tellu, Viluy, Ptilol, and Cyprine. In essence, they were the counterparts of the inner senshi. The Witches 5 took over when Kaolinite was killed. Their job was to collect pure heart crystals. Each had their unique personalities, but only Eudial and Mimete appeared in more than one or two episodes. An amusing thing was their tendency to change the sign on their door in the anime from Witches 5 to 4, 3, etc.
Eudial
Eudial was the first of the Witches 5. She had a special weapon, a gun that when shot, took the pure heart crystal from a person. She nearly obtained the talismen crystals from Sailor Neptune and Uranus but was halted. Eudial cornered Neptune and Uranus, but Pluto arrived to save them as well as form the Sacred Cup. The othe senshi arrived in time for Sailor Moon to use the Sacred Cup to transform. Mimete dismantled the brakes on Eudial's car and filled it with snails, Eudial's one fear. Eudial drove her car off a cliff and she killed herself. Eudial was Sailor Mars's counterpart. Her outfit was red.
Mimete
Mimete was the second of the Witches 5 to appear. She was obsessed with chasing cute boys and reading manga, rather than collecting pure heart crystals. Mimete often chose famous people or cute boys to take crystals from. Mimete wanted Professor Tomoe's attention but he doubted her ability to get the job done due to her obsession. She programmed a system to absorb her body so she wouldn't die. Teruru destroyed Mimete by pulling the plug on the system. Mimete was Sailor Venus's counterpart. Her outfit was orangish-yellow.
Tellu/Teruru
Tellu was the third of the Witches 5 to appear. She ran a plant shop that carried plants that absorbed the life out people and released their heart crystals. Chibi-Usa, Setsuna, ans Usagi later went to check out the plant shop. Tellu was collecting pure heart crystals from several customers into a black star. Tellu attacked Sailor Chibimoon who was saved by Sailor Pluto. Pluto was electrocuted but Tuxedo Mask saved her. Sailor Moon became Super Sailor Moon and began to kill all the plants. Tellu took out a huge plant that attacked people, taking their crystals then killing them. Tellu was killed by her own plant attacking her. This was one of the two episodes in which she appeared in. She was Sailor Jupiter's counterpart.
Viluy
Viluy was the fourth of the Witches 5 to appear. She used computers and electronics to steal away pure heart crystals. She attacked the senshi with nanorobots but Super Sailor Moon destroyed her armband. Viluy's nanorobots malfunctioned when the armband was destroyed. They turned on her and killed her by mistake. She posed as a super-intelligent student attending Mugen Gakuen. She appeared in this episode only. Viluy was Sailor Mercury's counterpart. Her outfit was light blue.
Cyprine and Ptilol
Technically, they are the fifth of the Witches 5 to appear, being twins. Together, they are the most powerful of the five witches. Cyprine appeared first and battled the senshi. Then Ptilol appeared from behind the senshi and attack them. Their staffs could absorb all of the senshi's attacks so the senshi worked together to trick them. They accidentally fired at each other and that destroyed them. The also only appeared in one episode. They were Sailor Moon's counterpart.
Pharaoh 90
Pharaoh 90 was the leader of the Death Busters. He required the Holy Grail to arise and destroy the world. He came from the Tau Star System. He was show as a red circle in the anime version. In the manga, he is more spherical. He was destroyed by Sailor Saturn along with Mistress Nine and sent back into the portal he created.
