Usagi is by far the kindest of all the bishoujo senshi. She believes in the good that is inside of everyone and succeeds in saving her friends and the senshi at times when villains have control of their minds. At the beginning of Sailor Moon R, she can be observed as a clumsy fourteen year old that has trouble with her classes at Juuban Junior High School. She can also be called a cry-baby because of her ability to cry over anything that does not suit her. She is the protagonist of the Sailor Moon series, which is clear when it is named for her. She is sought out by Luna and told that she is Sailor Moon. Having not believed her, she reluctantly took the transformation pen and said those fated "Moon Prism Power, Make Up" words. Usagi wears her hair in a form of odango (the two balls on each side of her head with the rest of the hair hanging down). Usagi lives with her parents and her younger brother. She is often late to school for simple reasons such as having slept in. Usagi is very dedicated and loyal to her friends when she is needed. She is insulted by Mamoru early in the R season over her clumsiness and strange looking hair. Their relationship evolved when Usagi realizes that Mamoru is Tuxedo Mask and he figures out that she is Sailor Moon. As the story continues, the senshi are on a search for the Moon Princess and are amazed to realize that Usagi is her. Usagi matures throughout the seasons and becomes a very responsible and compassionate young woman by the time she enters the Sailor Stars season.
