Ami is the most intelligent and mature of the bishoujo senshi. She gets top marks on all of her exams at the Juuban Junior High School and later the Juuban High School. She is always focused on the objective of a situation and during battles, she analyzes the weaknesses of the villain or the monster of the day. Ami is a little on the antisocial side, preferring reading books to chatting with friends. She does become good friends with the other senshi however. Ami as Sailor Mercury carries a mini computer that observes the situation and returns possible attack points. She is always calm in the face of danger and doesn't panic if at first they senshi don't succeed. Ami lives with her mother in a mansion. When she grows up, she wants to be just like her mother and become a doctor as well. Ami avoids romance, unlike the rest of the senshi. There are a few exceptions when she is thinking about Greg in the anime. Ami wears her blue hair short and cropped unlike most of the senshi who prefer long flowing hair.
